Sunsigns

Sunsigns Aries:-(March 21 Through April 20)
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, ruled by Mars. It represents offensive power and begins at the spring equinox. In Aries we move from the potential to the actual; from dormant to active participation. Desire, initiative, courage and action are words which best describe Aries.Personal traits of an Aries person are openness, enthusiasm and individualism. They are outspoken, alert, quick to act and speak. They prefer to speak than listen. Arians are ambitious, with lots of drive and a strong desire to lead. They make poor followers. Fiercely independent, they usually take the side of the underdog in any controversy.
Taurus:-(April 21 Through May 20)
The second sign of the zodiac, Taurus is ruled by Venus. The glyph represents the Bull, Taurus's symbol. The sign is concerned with the manifestation of the self, with basic needs being foremost. Ruled by Venus, Taurus personalities tend to be driven by their affections.Taurus is the direct opposite of the Aries character. Taurean people tend to be slow, methodical, practical and reserved. They are also stolid, tenacious and determined. Possessing tremendous willpower and self-discipline, they are inclined to stick to tried and traditional methods.
Gemini:-(May 22 Through June 21)
The third sign of the zodiac, Gemini is ruled by Mercury which represents intelligence invested in matter. The glyph symbolizes two pieces of wood bound together. In ancient times this was seen to signify the conflicts arising from contradictory mental processes. Geminis establish their relationship between the self and material substance through a balance of opposing thoughts This bond may also be interpreted as the link between rhythm and form.
Cancer:-(June 22 Through July 22)
The name derives from Latin, meaning literally, the crab. The ruler of the fourth sign of the zodiac is the Moon, the Crab, its symbol. The glyph has varied interpretations. This is often seen as representing the breasts, indicating the area of the body ruled by Cancer, as well as the fundamental nurturing nature of the sign. This is also seen as two crab's claws, intertwined in a way which represents the dual nature of the Cancerian personality. In this form, it would be understood as similar to the Asian Yin and Yang symbol.
Leo:-(july 22 Through August 22)
The ruler of Leo is the Sun. The glyph is generally thought to represent the tail of the lion. In ancient Dionysian mysteries it was considered to be a phallus. It can also symbolize the heat or creative energy of the Sun. On entering the sign Leo, the Sun is said to exemplify cosmic splendor. The meaning attached to this seems to be that both the good and bad characteristics associated with Leo are perpetual. Through the ages, Leo has signified the coming of the high growing season and thus reflects the abundant generosity of life. In this aspect Leo is seen as the ordained provider. A role which many astrological lions would take on quite willingly.
Virgo:-(August 23 Through September 22)
The ruler of Virgo is Mercury. The glyph is said to be connected to the Immaculate Conception of the Messiah. It's symbol "The Virgin" originated from the star Spica in the constellation of Virgo. The Virgo character is precise, refined, and a lover of cleanliness, hygiene and order. Conventional, with a rather reserved manner. They are usually observant, shrewd, critical, and patient. Supporters of the 'status quo', and conservative in all areas of life.
Libra:-(September 24 Through October 23)

Considered the sign of cosmic reciprocity, of cooperation rather than competition, of consciousness made objective through associations and partnerships. The basic Libran nature is diplomatic and charming. Libras have an idealistic and generally peace loving nature. They are easygoing and sociable, in general. On the other side of the scale, Librans are known to be indecisive and changeable, gullible and easily affected.
Scorpio:-(October 23 Through November 22)

The ruler of Scorpio is Pluto. Prior to the discovery of the ninth planet, Scorpio was ruled by Mars, which is still considered co-ruler. The sign of cosmic purpose, Scorpio is considered the success sign. Self contained and self centered, concentrated Scorpios usually succeed in what they set out to accomplish.Scorpions are known for their intense and powerful natures. They are willful, proud and calm with an electrifying undercurrent of seething intensity. Purposeful and animated with force, they project a magnetic personality.
Sagittarius:-(November 23 Through December 21)
A t the heart of Sagittarian lore stands the centaur Chiron; the figure of philosopher and teacher within Greek mythology. As a centaur, Chiron personifies the very soul of Sagittarius. Here is a symbol of half man, half horse, portraying the conflict between the philosophical mind and the carnal instinct of human nature. The glyph represents an arrow slung in a bow, aiming at the stars. This symbol corresponds with the Sagittarian ideals of cosmic progress and abundance. The ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter.
Capricorn:-(December 22 Through January 20)
Capricorn, whose constellation is known as Capricornus, is one of the oldest of the astrological interpretat -ions. Ruled by Saturn, its symbol is the goat. This is sometimes depicted as a sea borne hybrid or Dolphin. The image is often an animal with the body of a goat and the tail of a fish. In one tradition the image represents the god Pan transforming into a sea creature. A representation, perhaps, of the extremities found within this Astrological sign. The Capricornian is generally a serious character possessing a wry sense of humor. Independent, steady as a rock, Capricorn reflects earthy qualities that range from clever to vacuous.
Aquarius:-(January 21 Through February 19)
The ruler of Aquarius is Uranus. Its symbol represents water, a universal image which dates back into prehistory. This will also be recognized in the Egyptian hieroglyph representing the same. The association in Aquarius is that of the servant of humanity pouring out the water of knowledge to quench the thirst of the world. These symbolic waves of water, share the dual expression of vibrational waves of electricity or parallel lines of force.Aquarians are interesting and attractive people. They can be shy, sensitive, gentle and patient; or enthusiastic and lively with a tendency to be exhibitionists.
Pisces:-(February 20 Through March 20)
The ruler of Pisces is Neptune. Its symbol represents a pair of sea horses or sea lions yoked together. They dwell in the innermost regions of the sea, which is symbolic of life after death or regeneration. The image also represents a duality, the struggle of the spiritual soul within the physical body. In Pisces, these two natures are joined, yet very much separate. This conflict is sometimes an inhibition to natural expression.
